My husband is from Puerto Rico and I’ve been with him 17 times. Old San Juan is a must. While there you can stop in for brakafest or a pastry at La Bombanera – a classic, authentic bakery. Lunch at Patio de Sam never disappoints either or a drink at El Convento (a converted convent with a beautiful indoor coutyard). The fort in Old San Juan is nice to explore. As are the local artisan shops.El Junque is a nice day trip (or overnight) and there is a gorgeous palm tree lined beach across the street. Dorado is another nice area if you haven’t decided on where you are staying.Enjoy it’s beautiful!P.S. Love your blog – one of my favorites to follow :)
